About

Built for students, by people who care.

We created harvardcitation.com because we believe that citation tools should be free, fast, and friction-free.

Why we built this.

When working on academic assignments, citing sources correctly is essential — but it shouldn't be a barrier to learning. Many existing tools hide basic features behind paywalls, require login, or bombard users with ads.

We wanted to build something different: a citation tool that gives you everything for free. No accounts. No premium tiers. No ads. Just a clean, fast tool that formats your Harvard references correctly.

Citation style.

Our generator follows the Cite Them Right (10th edition) Harvard referencing style, which is the most widely used version of Harvard referencing in UK universities. However, Harvard style can vary between institutions, so we always recommend checking your university's specific guidelines.
